Python (FastAPI) Backend Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Python developers with a minimum of 2 years of production experience. The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in building web applications, APIs, and backends using Python, Django, and FastAPI. While we are an AI-augmented company, we prioritize candidates with strong fundamentals who can write and debug code without AI assistance. We are looking for problem solvers and thinkers who are capable of building, scaling, optimizing, and securing Python-based backends using a microservice architecture.

Responsibilities

• Understanding requirements and contributing to the Scope of Work with technical expertise.
• Building APIs and modules, independently or as part of a team.
• Writing well-documented, scalable, and non-AI generated code.
• Writing technical tests for the code.
• Debugging and resolving issues raised by the QA team.
• Deploying applications in collaboration with the infrastructure team.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience building scalable web applications using Python with Django or FastAPI.
• Proven experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Strong understanding of ORM and REST APIs.
• Experience with Redis or similar for Async and Queues.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0 authentication flows.
• Familiarity with Git, Docker, and CI/CD fundamentals.
• Experience deploying to AWS, Digital Ocean, or Heroku.
