GENAI AI Engineer

Role Overview

CGI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (SSE) specializing in GenAI to join our team in Hyderabad. This role involves building and deploying advanced Generative AI solutions, focusing on improving quality, reliability, and groundedness within a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Improve GenAI quality, reliability, and groundedness.
• Establish scalable AI evaluation and testing practices.
• Reduce hallucinations and model performance drift.
• Enable governed and production-ready GenAI deployments.
• Support continuous improvement through monitoring, evaluation, and optimization.
• Implement ModelOps or LLMOps capabilities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML Engineering, Data Science, or ModelOps.
• Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI solutions.
• Expertise in Prompt Engineering, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and Fine Tuning.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Familiarity with RAGAS, DeepEval, Evidently, and AI observability frameworks.
• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or regulated industries.
• Knowledge of AI Governance, Responsible AI, and Model Risk Management (MRM).
