Software Engineer - Informatica Developer

Role Overview

CGI is looking for a talented and motivated Informatica Developer with strong expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, SQL, Unix/Linux, ETL development, and data warehousing to design, develop, and maintain scalable, efficient, and reliable data integration solutions. You will play a key role in building and optimizing ETL workflows, ensuring high-quality data movement and transformation across enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter to support enterprise data integration requirements.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Work with Teradata databases to design, implement, and optimize data integration and reporting solutions.
• Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into scalable ETL designs and technical solutions.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
• Troubleshoot ETL job failures, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to ensure timely data processing.
• Optimize ETL workflows and SQL queries to improve performance and meet SLA requirements.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, DBAs, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and deployment activities following development best practices.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including ETL design specifications, mapping documents, and operational runbooks.
• Support production environments by monitoring ETL jobs, resolving incidents, and implementing enhancements as needed.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience in software development or engineering.
• Strong expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, SQL, and Unix.
• Experience with ETL development and data warehousing.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model (3 days in office) following an initial 8 weeks of WFO.
• Immediate joiners preferred.
