Junior QA Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Junior QA Engineer to join our quality assurance team. In this role, you will work alongside experienced QA engineers and developers to test enterprise software applications, learn professional testing practices, and contribute to delivering high-quality releases from day one.

Responsibilities

• Execute Test Cases — Run manual and scripted test cases for Java and .NET applications under the guidance of senior QA engineers
• Log & Track Defects — Document bugs clearly and thoroughly in defect tracking tools; retest fixes and verify resolutions
• Learn Test Automation — Develop foundational skills in test automation frameworks and tools used by the team
• Collaborate — Work within an Agile team alongside developers, senior QA engineers, and product owners to understand requirements and contribute to sprint quality goals
• Follow QA Standards — Apply team testing conventions, documentation practices, and defect management processes in daily work
• Grow Continuously — Actively participate in code reviews, test planning sessions, and mentorship to accelerate your QA career

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
• Basic understanding of software testing concepts (test cases, defect lifecycle, regression testing)
• Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language (Java, C#, JavaScript, or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking

Nice to Have

• Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in software testing or QA
• Exposure to test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, NUnit, Postman)
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and Agile/Scrum practices
• Experience testing web applications or RESTful APIs
