Chemical Engineering Intern

Role Overview

Brahmion Spacetech Pvt. Ltd., a deep-tech propulsion startup incubated at SIIC, IIT Kanpur, is seeking a Chemical Engineering Intern to join our Propulsion R&D team. This role focuses on Green Monopropellant & Catalyst R&D, working with HTP, HAN, ADN, and HAN-ADN blends as environmentally safer alternatives to hydrazine.

Responsibilities

• Support the formulation and development of green monopropellants
• Assist in the preparation and characterization of ceramic catalyst systems
• Contribute to propellant stabilization and analytical testing
• Maintain accurate lab records and experiment documentation
• Adhere to safety protocols for handling oxidizers and energetic materials

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (3rd year or above) in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
• Working knowledge of propellant chemistry and catalyst engineering fundamentals
• Familiarity with characterization techniques such as BET, XRD, or TGA is an advantage
• Strong lab discipline, attention to detail, and analytical rigor
