Role Overview
Ciklum is looking for an Automation QA Engineer to join our team full-time in India. As an Automation QA Engineer, you will become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow, working within a custom product engineering company that supports multinational organizations and scaling startups.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements, system architectures, and user stories to create end-to-end test strategies, structured test plans, and detailed test scenarios
- Conduct thorough defect analysis and root-cause investigations, working alongside developers to ensure rapid resolution of issues
- Design, write, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using Core Java, Selenium WebDriver, and TestNG
- Validate REST and SOAP web services by creating automated API test suites with RestAssured and performing exploratory testing with Postman or SoapUI
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline integration and version control maintenance using Git and Maven
- Design, execute, and analyze performance, load, and stress test scenarios using Apache JMeter
- Monitor application health, identify system bottlenecks, and analyze performance logs using Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools like Dynatrace and Splunk
- Perform regression, integration, and end-to-end system testing to maintain platform stability across test and staging environments
- Actively participate in Agile team ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, ideally within fintech or enterprise-level systems
- Proven track record in test analysis, test strategy development, and comprehensive test plan creation
- Strong proficiency with Core Java, Selenium, TestNG, RestAssured, Maven, and Git
- Experience in API testing and validation using Postman or SoapUI
- Hands-on experience executing performance tests with JMeter and conducting deep-dive performance analysis using Splunk and Dynatrace
- Sharp problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail in defect detection and risk isolation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
