Software Engineer - Backend (4 to 8 Yrs)

Role Overview

At Cisco Meraki, our intuitive platform enables organizations of all sizes to deliver customer and employee experiences at scale. The Mars team is responsible for bringing Meraki Dashboard features to the Cisco Catalyst family, allowing customers to monitor, configure, and automate critical IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, validate, and automate features that help customers manage their networks.
• Understand functionality and implement meaningful, efficient customer presentations.
• Collaborate with PMs, cross-functional teams, and TMEs.
• Design and implement features on time with high quality.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree or Masters degree with 1-5 years of experience.
• 4 to 8 years of experience in software engineering.
• Proficiency in Python, Ruby on Rails, or Go.
• Hands-on experience working within Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Nice to Have

• Experience mentoring and guiding team members on code quality and system design.
• Exposure to using LLMs and AI agents for coding.
• Experience with Containerization and DevOps techniques to deploy solutions to Kubernetes or Cloud.
• Networking experience.
