Software Engineer

Role Overview

Cohesity is seeking Senior and Staff level Full Stack Software Engineers to design, implement, and maintain features, tools, and scripts that improve the deployment and maintenance of Cohesity products. You will work on high-quality distributed systems, diagnosing complex problems in sophisticated codebases with an emphasis on scalability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop designs for complete feature sets and engage in technical discussions with stakeholders.
• Code and implement features for both on-prem and cloud platforms.
• Perform in-depth root cause analysis and implement fixes for product defects and performance issues.
• Collaborate with QA, support, and field teams to troubleshoot complex customer issues and orchestrate patches.
• Design and implement diagnostic tools to reduce time to resolution.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience.
• Strong coding experience in C++, Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience developing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems on Linux and Windows platforms.
• Proficiency with debugging tools such as GDB or Python Debugger.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Knowledge of Microservices and SaaS architecture.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA and GitHub.
