Software Engineer

Role Overview

Cohesity is looking for Senior and Staff level Full Stack Software Engineers to design, implement, and maintain features, tools, and scripts that improve the ability to sell, deploy, and maintain Cohesity products. You will work on high-quality distributed systems, diagnosing problems in sophisticated code and ensuring scalability and performance in a web-scale, hybrid cloud infrastructure environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop designs for complete feature sets.
• Engage in technical discussions with Engineers, Architects, Product Managers, and Designers.
• Code and implement features for on-prem and cloud platforms.
• Perform in-depth root cause analysis and implement code fixes for product defects.
• Troubleshoot functional and performance issues.
• Collaborate with QA, support, and field teams to diagnose complex customer issues.
• Design and implement tools to assist support engineers in reducing time to resolution.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Strong coding experience in C++, Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience developing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems on Linux and Windows platforms.
• Proficiency with debugging tools such as GDB or Python Debugger.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Knowledge of Microservices and SaaS architecture.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity.
