Frontend Engineer — Next.js / React / TypeScript

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Frontend Engineer. The ideal candidate is technically strong, independent, detail-oriented, and capable of understanding an unfamiliar codebase without immediately proposing a complete rewrite.

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of the existing frontend codebase
• Understanding current architecture and application flows
• Identifying incomplete, duplicated, or problematic implementation
• Resolving frontend build and runtime issues
• Connecting and validating existing backend APIs
• Building reusable components
• Improving responsive behavior across desktop, tablet, and mobile
• Implementing loading, error, empty, and validation states
• Improving frontend performance
• Maintaining strong TypeScript standards
• Building complex forms and workflows
• Implementing search, filtering, sorting, and pagination
• Working with authentication and protected routes
• Integrating payment and third-party services where required
• Maintaining SEO-friendly Next.js architecture
• Testing completed features before handoff
• Documenting important architectural decisions
• Working closely with backend developers and company leadership

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional frontend engineering experience
• Strong React experience
• Strong production Next.js experience
• Advanced TypeScript knowledge
• Strong Tailwind CSS skills
• Experience integrating REST APIs
• Strong debugging ability
• Experience working inside an existing large codebase
• Good understanding of component architecture
• Good understanding of application state and server state
• Experience with responsive UI development
• Strong Git workflow knowledge
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly
• Strong attention to detail
