Backend Intern

Role Overview

Convin is looking for a Backend Intern to build scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend systems for AI-powered products. You will work closely with experienced engineers to build APIs, backend services, data pipelines, and integrations that power conversation intelligence, AI voicebots, and automation products in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and REST APIs for AI-powered products.
• Design, implement, test, and deploy backend features.
• Write clean, efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Work with databases to store, query, and manage application data.
• Assist in building integrations with internal and external services.
• Work on data processing and backend workflows supporting voicebots and chatbots.
• Debug issues, identify root causes, and contribute to system reliability.
• Write unit tests and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with frontend, AI/ML, and product teams.

Requirements

• Final-year college students or candidates with up to 1 year of experience.
• Pursuing or recently completed a B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Proficiency in Golang, Python, or another backend language.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and backend development.
• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of Git and version control.
• Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru.
