Job Description
Role Overview
Creyotech is looking for WordPress Developer Interns interested in learning how professional business websites are developed, maintained, optimized, and improved for search engines. This remote, 3-month internship is designed for candidates with a strong intent to learn, providing hands-on exposure to real-world client projects, content management, and performance optimization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and customize business websites using WordPress
- Work with WordPress themes, plugins, pages, menus, forms, and content
- Customize website layouts based on business requirements and designs
- Maintain and update existing WordPress websites
- Identify and troubleshoot basic website issues
- Ensure websites are mobile-friendly and responsive
- Add and optimize website content, images, headings, and internal links
- Implement basic on-page SEO practices
- Optimize website structure for search engine visibility
- Work on basic website speed and performance improvements
- Assist with website security, backups, updates, and maintenance
- Coordinate with the digital marketing and development team
Requirements
- Basic understanding of computers and websites
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is preferred
- Prior WordPress experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Basic understanding of SEO is an advantage
- Strong willingness to learn WordPress and website development
- Ability to follow instructions and independently learn new tools
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset
- Attention to detail while working with website content and layouts
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
