Junior Python Developer

Role Overview

Shape the utilities market of the future with us! We are looking for a motivated Junior Python Developer with a good foundation in Python and an understanding of backend web development using Django. This role is suitable for someone at the beginning of their professional software development career who has strong fundamentals, enjoys learning, and is interested in building reliable and maintainable backend applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Python and Django.
• Design and implement REST APIs, preferably using Django REST Framework (DRF).
• Work with Celery for asynchronous and background task processing.
• Understand and work with Celery brokers/backends such as Redis.
• Write basic to intermediate SQL queries and interact with relational databases.
• Work with databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL through Django ORM.
• Containerize and run applications using Docker.
• Debug application issues and analyze logs to identify and resolve problems.
• Write clean, readable, reusable, and maintainable Python code.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards and development practices.
• Use Git for source-code management and collaborate with other developers.
• Work closely with senior developers and other team members to understand requirements and implement solutions.

Requirements

• Good understanding of Python fundamentals, including Data types, Functions, OOP, and Exception handling.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Django.
• Familiarity with Django REST Framework (DRF) and REST API concepts.
• Basic understanding of Celery and asynchronous/background task processing.
• Basic knowledge of Redis or similar message brokers.
• Working knowledge of Docker, including Dockerfiles, images, and Docker Compose.
• Basic knowledge of SQL (SELECT, JOINs, etc.) and relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Familiarity with Git and basic Git workflows.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 0–2 years of experience in Python/backend development.
