QA Tester (Motor Insurance)

Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced QA Tester with strong expertise in the Motor Insurance domain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with insurance platforms such as GC, Bancs, or HealthBuzz, along with a solid understanding of software testing methodologies and the software development lifecycle. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of insurance applications through effective test planning, execution, and defect management.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing for Motor Insurance applications.
• Analyze business and functional requirements to create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute manual test cases and validate application functionality against business requirements.
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure product quality.
• Participate in requirement reviews, test planning, and test execution activities.
• Ensure adherence to Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) processes and quality standards.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production validation when required.
• Prepare and maintain test documentation, execution reports, and defect metrics.

Requirements

• Strong experience in the Motor Insurance domain.
• Hands-on experience with at least one of the following insurance platforms: GC, Bancs, or HealthBuzz.
• Good understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience in writing, reviewing, and executing test cases.
• Hands-on experience in defect reporting, tracking, and validation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile or Waterfall development environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or ALM.
• Knowledge of SQL for data validation is an added advantage.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum projects is preferred.
