Role Overview
At Danfoss, we are driving the digital transformation that powers sustainable solutions and smarter business decisions worldwide. We are looking for a Data Engineer who is passionate about building reliable data foundations, enabling business intelligence, and turning complex data into meaningful insights. In this role, you will design and optimize data pipelines, manage data platforms, and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to deliver scalable analytics solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable SQL databases, ETL pipelines, and data workflows that support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, reliable datasets and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Create and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models that provide actionable business insights.
- Drive automation and process improvements using scripting and modern data engineering practices to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Document data architectures, workflows, and best practices while staying current with emerging trends in data engineering and analytics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field, with 4-5 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or business intelligence.
- Strong expertise in SQL, database design, performance optimization, ETL development, and data warehousing concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, including dashboard development, reporting, and data modeling.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (such as Python or VB Scripting), data integration tools, and cloud-based data solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
