AI/ML Engineer Intern

Role Overview

Darukaa.Earth is a nature tech enterprise bringing radical transparency in nature and democratizing climate action through nature-based carbon and biodiversity finance. We are looking for motivated undergraduate and postgraduate students to join us as AI/ML Engineer Interns to gain hands-on experience with production-grade systems and modern technology stacks in the climate-tech space.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Python-based systems
• Work with geospatial data, maps, dashboards, and large-scale datasets
• Integrate AI/ML model outputs into scalable backend systems
• Develop and fine-tune custom models based on requirements
• Collaborate on cloud deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and system optimization
• Contribute to live platforms used in ongoing climate and biodiversity projects

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, MCA, Data Science, AI, or related technical disciplines
• Strong fundamentals in programming, preferably Python
• Knowledge of GenAI and Agentic AI is a plus
• Interest in real-world systems and applied technology
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced startup environment
