Electrical Service Engineer

Role Overview

DATOMS is an IoT software platform that streamlines asset management and operations for equipment manufacturers, leasing and rental companies, and enterprises utilising machine learning, artificial intelligence, and the internet of things. The Service Engineer will be responsible for meeting the daily service maintenance and repair needs of the customer’s equipment, establishing business relationships, and performing necessary administrative duties. This is a 1-year contract position.

Responsibilities

• Basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance and repair on designated equipment.
• Completing Preventative Maintenance and field modifications.
• Ordering and managing repair parts cycle times.
• Maintaining customer service logs and internal service records.
• Maintaining daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up.
• Maintaining tools and test equipment and ensuring they are properly calibrated.

Requirements

• ITI (Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Wireman, or a related trade).
• Freshers are welcome to apply.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, electronics, or IoT systems.
• Must be based in or willing to work in the Chennai/Hyderabad region.
• Possession of a private bike and a valid driving license is mandatory.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites (75% travel required).
• Good communication skills and a positive learning attitude.
