Role Overview

Vedritam Group (formerly known as DAV Group of Schools, Chennai) is a premier educational institution with a 50+ year heritage. We are seeking a passionate and self-driven Web Developer to manage, maintain, and continuously enhance 30+ school websites, ensuring high performance, security, and SEO optimization.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimize 30+ school websites.
• Build responsive, mobile-friendly websites with modern UI/UX principles.
• Monitor website performance, SEO, and security while coordinating with hosting providers.
• Develop and administer WordPress websites with a focus on quality and scalability.
• Manage website content for accuracy and consistency.
• Leverage Gen-AI tools to improve productivity and content workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in web development.
• Strong expertise in WordPress development and administration.
• Good understanding of Headless CMS architecture.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Basic knowledge of SEO best practices.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Strapi, Sanity, or other Headless CMS platforms.
• Exposure to Next.js, React, Figma, Adobe XD, or Canva.
• Familiarity with Google Analytics and website performance optimization.
