Role Overview
DC Procure is looking for a Software Developer Intern to join our team for a 6-month paid internship. You will work on real product and internal technology projects that support our data, research, sales intelligence, and business operations. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys building, debugging, learning quickly, and taking ownership of technical work.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web applications, internal tools, and software features
- Write clean, readable, and maintainable code
- Build and improve frontend and backend functionality
- Work with APIs, databases, and third-party services
- Integrate data from different sources and systems
- Develop tools that support data collection, research, sales, and business operations
- Debug issues and improve application performance and reliability
- Test features and fix bugs
- Work with existing codebases and understand technical requirements
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
- Document technical work and processes
- Research new technologies and evaluate potential solutions
- Take ownership of assigned technical tasks from development through completion
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Strong programming fundamentals
- Experience with at least one programming language such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, or C++
- Basic understanding of web development and software engineering concepts
- Familiarity with Git and version control
- Ability to troubleshoot problems independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new technologies quickly
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
