AI-Native Intern

Role Overview

Defmate is building India’s Sovereign AI & Decision Support System (DSS) for the Armed Forces. We are looking for an AI-native Intern who learns quickly, works independently, and uses AI as their primary way of solving problems. Whether you are from an Engineering or BBA background, the focus is on your ability to leverage AI tools to deliver exceptional output across product development, research, and business operations.

Responsibilities

• AI-First Execution: Use tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Perplexity to accelerate coding, research, and documentation.
• Product & Website Support: Contribute to React, TypeScript, and APIs for engineering roles, or support product documentation and feature planning for business roles.
• Research & Strategic Projects: Research defence technologies, market intelligence, and prepare structured reports.
• Documentation & Operations: Maintain project trackers, meeting notes, and knowledge repositories.
• Ownership: Identify execution gaps and take complete ownership of assigned work.

Requirements

• Final-year student or Recent Graduate (B.Tech/BE in CS/IT/AI/ECE or BBA/Business Management).
• Demonstrated heavy use of AI tools in coursework, internships, or personal projects.
• Strong curiosity and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of React, JavaScript, TypeScript, or business research and documentation.
