Role Overview
This is a 3 to 6 month internship focused on supporting software modules used in drone operations, mission planning, telemetry visualization, and data processing. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web and desktop applications while collaborating with embedded systems and drone engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Support software modules used in drone operations, mission planning, telemetry visualization, and data processing.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain web and desktop applications.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Debug and optimize software performance.
- Collaborate with software, embedded systems, and drone engineering teams.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of programming fundamentals and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Understanding of SQL databases.
- Good debugging and analytical skills.
- Fundamentals of UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) systems.
- Knowledge of drone components such as flight controllers, GPS/RTK, ESCs, motors, batteries, telemetry radios, and payloads.
- Basic understanding of autonomous flight and mission planning.
- Awareness of Pixhawk, PX4, or ArduPilot ecosystems.
- Basic understanding of drone communication protocols such as MAVLink.
- Understanding of geospatial concepts such as Orthomosaic Maps, Digital Surface Models (DSM), Digital Elevation Models (DEM), and point clouds.
