Software Engineer II

Role Overview

The Software Development Engineer II analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and new products. Specifically, as an iOS Developer at Wayfair, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the Post Order space in the Wayfair app, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for millions of users.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for iOS applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality features.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs to ensure optimal performance and responsiveness.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in iOS development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Swift and experience with iOS frameworks.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs & GraphQL.
• Experience with performance and memory tuning using tools such as Instruments.
• Proficient understanding of version control tools such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
