QA/Test Engineer Intern

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated QA/Test Engineer Intern to join our engineering team. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates who are interested in software quality assurance and web application testing. You will work closely with developers and product teams to ensure our web applications are reliable, user-friendly, and meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Test web applications across different browsers and devices.
• Understand business requirements and verify application functionality.
• Create and execute test cases based on functional requirements.
• Identify, document, and report software defects with clear reproduction steps.
• Perform regression, functional, and smoke testing before releases.
• Verify bug fixes and ensure issues are resolved correctly.
• Collaborate with developers to improve product quality.
• Maintain test documentation and testing reports.

Requirements

• Pursuing or recently completed BCA, MCA, B.Tech, or an equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Familiarity with web applications and how they function.
• Understanding of basic testing concepts such as:
  • Functional Testing
  • Regression Testing
  • Smoke Testing
  • Sanity Testing
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Ability to write clear and detailed bug reports.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Willingness to learn and work in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills

• Basic knowledge of SQL and databases.
• Familiarity with browser developer tools.
• Exposure to bug tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and API testing using tools like Postman.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodology is a plus.
