Job Description
Role Overview
DrishtiNova is building its Android TV and Fire TV OTT applications in-house as part of the Saganova platform. This role is responsible for designing and developing high-quality TV experiences, working closely with Backend Engineering, Product, QA and Technical Program Management to deliver a scalable streaming platform.
Responsibilities
- Develop Android TV and Fire TV applications using Kotlin.
- Implement media playback using Media3 / ExoPlayer.
- Integrate HLS, DASH and DRM-protected streaming.
- Develop TV-specific UI with proper D-Pad navigation and focus management.
- Integrate backend REST APIs.
- Implement authentication and device activation workflows.
- Optimise application performance and memory usage.
- Develop Node.js backend services and maintain REST APIs.
- Work with MongoDB and integrate AWS services.
Requirements
- 3-5 Years of experience.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Android SDK.
- Experience with Jetpack Compose, Media3, and ExoPlayer.
- Knowledge of HLS, MPEG-DASH, and Widevine DRM.
- Experience with Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB.
- Familiarity with AWS fundamentals and REST APIs.
