Platform Engineer- Frontend

Role Overview

We are looking for a Frontend Engineer to support the ongoing development and enhancement of Saganova, DrishtiNova’s OTT platform. This is not a maintenance-only role. The position requires someone who can work across frontend, backend, APIs, integrations, internal tools, and AI-powered features. The candidate will work closely with the Product, QA, DevOps, CMS, and Operations teams to continuously improve the platform and deliver new capabilities. The ideal candidate should be comfortable understanding business requirements, converting them into technical solutions, and contributing to a fast-moving product environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance web-based platform features and internal tools.
• Build and maintain backend services using Node.js.
• Develop frontend components and user interfaces using Angular and JavaScript.
• Design, develop, and integrate REST APIs.
• Support integrations with payment gateways, third-party platforms, and AI services.
• Work with databases for application development and reporting requirements.
• Support product enhancements, automation initiatives, and operational tooling.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and Product teams throughout the release lifecycle.
• Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, and issue resolution.
• Review existing platform behaviour and recommend improvements.
• Support future AI-driven initiatives and feature enhancements.
• Maintain code quality, documentation, and development standards.

Requirements

Candidates should have hands-on experience with:

• Node.js development
• JavaScript
• Angular
• REST API development and integration
• SQL databases (MySQL)
• Database design and query optimization
• Authentication concepts (JWT, sessions, role-based access)
• Git and version control workflows
• Debugging and troubleshooting application issues
• Code review and quality practices
• Basic understanding of software architecture principles
• Strong problem-solving skills

Good to Have:

• MongoDB experience
• Exposure to AI such as OpenA Codex, Claude Code, Gemini or similar
• Experience building AI-assisted features
• AWS or cloud platform exposure
• Docker fundamentals
• Basic DevOps understanding
• OTT, media, subscription, SaaS, or product platform experience
• Basic Python scripting knowledge
• Automation experience
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
