Software Engineer II

Role Overview

EarnIn is seeking experienced, passionate, and resourceful mid-level Backend Engineers to join our backend teams. You will work cross-functionally to design and develop backend services that provide real-time financial flexibility for our community members. This is a hybrid role based in our Bengaluru office, requiring 2 days on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust features for large-scale systems.
• Drive feature implementation by breaking down complex problems into elegant, maintainable code.
• Create and maintain test automation to enable CI/CD velocity.
• Design and deliver thoughtfully crafted REST APIs.
• Debug production issues across services infrastructure and multiple stack levels.
• Apply principles of distributed systems and services.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as C#, Kotlin, Java, Python, Go, or Scala.
• Hands-on experience with databases like DynamoDB, MySQL, or ElasticSearch and data pipeline technologies.
• Experience with continuous integration and delivery tools.
• Experience developing and executing functional and integration tests.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, LLMs).

Nice to Have

• Experience with Kubernetes, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience in payments or fintech.
