Jr Software Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Software Developer to join our development team. This internship provides hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying modern web applications using Java and contemporary front-end technologies. You will work alongside experienced software engineers on real-world projects while gaining practical industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using Java and modern web technologies.
• Participate in software design, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment activities.
• Build responsive user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate front-end applications with backend services.
• Work with relational databases and write efficient SQL queries.
• Collaborate with senior developers, QA engineers, and project managers in an Agile environment.
• Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
• Troubleshoot application issues and optimize application performance.
• Maintain technical documentation for assigned tasks.
• Learn new technologies and contribute innovative ideas to the development team.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science (CS) or a related field.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Knowledge of Java programming fundamentals.
• Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding REST APIs and web application architecture.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt quickly.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Spring Boot.
• Knowledge of React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Familiarity with Hibernate/JPA.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Exposure to Docker or containerization technologies.
• Understanding Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience working with IDEs such as IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, or VS Code.
