Role Overview
EigenDyne is looking for an experienced Robotics Engineer to design, develop, and deploy robotic arm-based automation solutions. You will own the ROS2 software stack for robotic arm platforms, managing everything from simulation in Gazebo to real-world deployment on the shop floor for industrial customers.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ROS2-based software for robotic arm (cobot) platforms.
- Build and validate simulation environments in Gazebo for motion planning and path validation.
- Integrate robotic arms with vision sensors, end-effectors, and scanning payloads.
- Develop and tune motion planning using frameworks like MoveIt2.
- Debug and optimize system performance across simulation and real hardware to close the sim-to-real gap.
- Support on-site commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting at customer/OEM facilities.
Requirements
- 2-6 years of hands-on experience in robotics software development.
- Strong working experience with ROS2 (nodes, topics, services, actions, launch/parameter systems).
- Practical experience with Gazebo for robot simulation and testing.
- Experience programming or deploying robotic arms/cobots (e.g., Doosan, UR, ABB, Fanuc).
- Proficiency in C++ and Python for robotics application development.
- Understanding of robot kinematics, motion planning, and control.
- Experience integrating sensors (cameras, depth/LiDAR) with robotic systems.
- Comfortable working in Linux/Ubuntu and using Git.
- Willingness to travel for on-site deployment.
- B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electronics, or Computer Science.
