Backend Developer / Tester

Role Overview

ElevateCareer.AI is looking for a Backend Developer / Tester (0–2 years' experience) to join our technology team in Hyderabad. This role is ideal for a fresher or early-career developer with a strong foundation in Python and hands-on exposure to Django. You will work closely with product, AI, and operations teams to build and improve our AI-powered career readiness and hiring intelligence platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and test backend applications using Python and Django
• Work on APIs, backend logic, database interactions, and application workflows
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable Python code
• Debug backend issues and identify root causes of application errors
• Perform functional and API-level testing of backend features
• Identify, document, and track bugs, working with the dev team to resolve them
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to translate requirements into backend features
• Perform basic database operations and understand data flow across the backend
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployment
• Work with basic DevOps practices including Git, deployment workflows, and application logs

Requirements

• B.Tech / B.E. / BCA / MCA / M.Tech or a related technical degree
• Hands-on experience with Python via internship, job, or meaningful projects
• Mandatory project-level experience with Django architecture (models, views, URLs, templates, ORM)
• Understanding of software testing fundamentals and API testing
• Comfortable with Git/GitHub and basic deployment workflows
• Strong logical and problem-solving abilities
