Engineer - Software Test

Role Overview

As an Engineer - Software Test, you will be responsible for testing and validating desktop applications and connected device ecosystems. You will play a critical role in identifying quality risks early in the development lifecycle and ensuring high-quality software delivery through comprehensive test strategies and automation.

Responsibilities

• Testing and validating desktop applications and connected device ecosystems.
• Reviewing and analyzing requirements, user stories, and design specifications to identify test scenarios and coverage gaps.
• Designing and maintaining test strategies, plans, cases, and execution reports.
• Performing manual and automated testing using Ranorex or Python.
• Executing integration, system, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
• Identifying and managing defects throughout the SDLC/STLC.
• Integrating automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
• Participating in Agile/Scrum ceremonies to drive quality.

Requirements

• B.E/B. Tech or M. Tech in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related Engineering discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in Software Testing with strong automation expertise.
• Strong experience in testing Desktop Applications.
• Hands-on experience with Ranorex or similar automation tools.
• Proficiency in Python, C#, or other scripting languages.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with DevOps and test automation best practices.
• ISTQB certification.
