Software Test Engineer

Role Overview

Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and APIs while performing manual and automated testing activities including functional, regression, integration, performance, smoke, and API testing. Support and maintain laboratory facilities and test infrastructure utilized by global engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and APIs.
• Perform manual and automated testing activities, including functional, regression, integration, performance, smoke, and API testing.
• Support and maintain laboratory facilities and test infrastructure utilized by global engineering teams.
• Investigate, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools.
• Review and validate technical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to enhance software quality and testing effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, or Instrumentation.
• Experience in manual and automation testing of software applications.
• Strong understanding of test planning, test case creation, execution, and defect management.
• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Katalon, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with REST API testing using Postman or comparable tools.
• Programming knowledge in C#, C++, Java, or equivalent languages.
• Familiarity with bug tracking and defect management tools, preferably Jira.

Nice to Have

• Experience with industrial process instrumentation or automation products.
• Knowledge of Kali Linux and related testing environments.
• Experience supporting software testing laboratories and hardware setups.
• Exposure to Agile software development and CI/CD practices.
