Backend Engineer

Role Overview

Entiovi Technologies is looking for a Backend Engineer to design and ship the services that power our AI products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across geographies to build scalable, reliable backends, ranging from API design to data modeling and cloud deployment, with significant exposure to applied AI engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs in Node.js / TypeScript
• Model and query data across both PostgreSQL and DynamoDB
• Deploy and operate services on AWS (Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, S3, etc.)
• Integrate with internal services and third-party APIs, including AI / LLM-based components
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews
• Collaborate with frontend, ML, and product teams to ship features end-to-end
• Debug production issues, optimize performance, and manage technical debt

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong fundamentals in computer science (data structures, algorithms, system design)
• Solid hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript
• Production experience with Express or NestJS
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and DynamoDB
• Experience deploying and running services on AWS
• Familiarity with ORMs like Prisma, TypeORM, or Sequelize

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI / ML / LLM-based products (prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, vector databases)
• AWS services like Bedrock, SageMaker, Step Functions, or EventBridge
• Experience with serverless architectures
• Experience with Google Cloud
• Exposure to CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CDK)
