Software Engineer

Role Overview

As a Backend Engineer, you will work across the stack to build scalable microservices and systems that power the entire customer journey. You will collaborate with engineers to ship key features, architect internal standards, and ensure engineering-wide consistency through clean, modular, and high-performing code.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop and ship features
• Design, build, and maintain APIs
• Write efficient, modular, and reusable libraries and abstractions
• Design and build internal tooling to improve development efficiency
• Communicate best practices to the team

Requirements

• 0-2 years of experience in JavaScript, Java, Python, or Rust
• Engineering experience in TypeScript, GoLang, Python, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, React, or AWS
• Experience with backend architectural patterns for large, high-scale web applications
• Ability to design clean APIs and troubleshoot performance issues
• Proficiency in software engineering best practices including design patterns, code reviews, and unit/integration testing
• Solid CS fundamentals including data structures and algorithms
• Understanding of security, common attacks, and defenses
• Knowledge of build systems like Webpack
• Experience with infrastructure, distributed systems, and high-scale deployment
