GCP DevOps Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced GCP Platform & DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and support large-scale, secure cloud applications. You will work closely with application teams to ensure robust, compliant, and resilient solutions, ideally with experience in regulated environments such as banking.

Responsibilities

• Enable and support application teams to deploy and operate workloads on GCP (Compute, IAM, Networking, GCS, Cloud Run, GKE, BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Bigtable, Spanner, Dataform).
• Automate CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure using Terraform, Helm, and related tools.
• Ensure security best practices, compliance, and data privacy are embedded in all solutions.
• Troubleshoot platform and deployment issues, driving root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, resilient, and observable systems.
• Implement and support API Gateway solutions (e.g., Kong, MuleSoft) and manage SSL certificates.
• Maintain expertise in cloud security, monitoring, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with GCP and DevOps practices at scale.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform), CI/CD, and automation.
• Proficient in modern programming/scripting languages.
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, GKE).
• Familiarity with cloud monitoring and logging (e.g., Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk).
• Deep understanding of security principles and compliance in cloud environments.
• Experience in banking or other regulated industries is a strong advantage.
