Associate DevOps Engineer

Role Overview

At Exostar, you’ll step into a global DevOps organization that plays a critical role in delivering secure, cloud-native solutions for industries that matter—Aerospace & Defense, Life Sciences, and other high-stakes sectors. This is a launchpad for engineers to join a global team delivering automation and developer tooling across North America, Europe, and India, working in a high-impact, hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance full stack applications that support automation, deployment, and internal developer tooling.
• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools.
• Write scripts and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform, PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Collaborate with peers onsite in real-time to debug issues and design solutions.
• Use Generative AI tools like GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT to accelerate development.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies.
• Support the monitoring and observability of automation solutions.
• Document processes, tools, and learnings to improve team productivity.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in software development, DevOps, or related technical roles.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or .NET.
• Hands-on experience using Generative AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or Google Cloud acceptable).
• Comfort with scripting in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles and Terraform.
• Basic knowledge of containers and Linux-based environments.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Nice to Have

• Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes or Helm.
• Exposure to monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, ITAR, NIST).
