Role Overview
As a Junior Cloud Support Engineer, you will be part of our cloud operations team, supporting customers across AWS and other cloud platforms. This role is ideal for someone starting their cloud career, with strong fundamentals and a hunger to learn, troubleshoot, and grow in a real-world environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide L1/L2 support for cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS & Azure; exposure to Oracle/GCP is a plus)
- Monitor cloud environments using tools and dashboards; ensure high availability and performance
- Troubleshoot issues related to compute, storage, networking, and security
- Assist in incident management, root cause analysis, and documentation
- Support deployment and maintenance of cloud-based applications and services
- Work closely with DevOps and engineering teams for issue resolution and improvements
- Maintain documentation for SOPs, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides
- Ensure adherence to security and compliance best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 1–2 years of experience
- Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
- Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS)
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and basic commands
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Nice to Have
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (or working towards certification)
- Exposure to DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines)
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python / Shell scripting)
- Awareness of cybersecurity fundamentals
