Cloud Operations Engineer

Role Overview

Join the Azure Platform Engineering team to help build, automate, and support the cloud platform that enables engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable applications. As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will contribute to automation, operational support, and engineering initiatives to improve the reliability, security, and usability of the Azure platform.

Responsibilities

• Support the engineering and operation of Azure platform services.
• Assist in developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Develop automation using Python and PowerShell.
• Contribute to GitHub repositories and GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
• Support day-to-day Azure platform operations and investigate incidents.
• Support Azure networking services including Virtual WAN, Firewall, and Private Endpoints.
• Implement Azure Policy, RBAC, and governance controls.
• Use GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, and ChatGPT to improve productivity.
• Explore Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and AI Agents.

Requirements

• Good understanding of Microsoft Azure fundamentals.
• Experience using Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Experience writing Python or PowerShell scripts.
• Familiarity with GitHub, Git version control, and GitHub Actions.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience or interest in using AI tools like GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT.
