Platform Engineer

Role Overview

You will work on a cloud-native SaaS platform serving financial institutions globally, built on a modern Java + Angular stack. The team is modernising a large-scale enterprise system from a JBoss monolith to a multi-tenant Spring Boot microservices architecture, with a strong emphasis on configuration-driven extensibility over code generation.

Responsibilities

• Build production REST APIs using Spring Boot
• Implement layered architecture including controller, service, domain, and persistence layers
• Manage entity mapping and query optimisation using Hibernate
• Design schemas and manage SQL for Oracle or equivalent relational databases
• Develop schema-driven and configuration-driven UI rendering using Angular and TypeScript
• Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for containerisation and deployment
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and Git branching strategies
• Design multi-tenant SaaS patterns including data isolation and JWT-based tenant resolution
• Own features end-to-end from backend API persistence to frontend rendering

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building production REST APIs
• Strong understanding of Hibernate ORM and relational database design
• Proficiency in Angular reactive forms and component architecture
• Experience with TypeScript interfaces and generics
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of event-driven or pipeline-based processing
• Experience with unit and integration testing using JUnit 5 and Mockito
