Software Engineer

Role Overview

Finastra is a global leader in financial services software, powering mission-critical solutions across Lending, Payments, and Universal Banking for over 7,000 customers worldwide. We are looking for a skilled engineer to join our team to develop high-quality code and support our global financial infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand design documents to define implementation specifications and derive algorithms.
• Develop code and create/execute unit test plans.
• Debug, solve technical issues, and perform peer code reviews.
• Follow development plans and adhere to quality processes.
• Provide technical support to clients and production support when needed.
• Mentor junior developers and resolve technical queries.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of professional experience.
• Excellent knowledge of C and C++, including OOPS Concepts, Templates, and STL.
• Deep understanding of operating systems, memory management, and Unix commands.
• Experience with MQ message structures and commands.
• Strong database knowledge, specifically Oracle, including indexes, explain plans, and AWR reports.
• Ability to work independently and possess strong analytical and logical skills.
• Knowledge of middleware, preferably Tuxedo.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of GPP and/or Payments domain.
• Good knowledge of Linux.
• Previous experience in production support.
