Devops Engineer

Role Overview

Join the Cloud DevOps Team at FIS to support the coordination and delivery of meaningful projects connecting financial services with modern technology. You will oversee application systems, architecture, and data workflows, ensuring synergy between software and hardware architecture to maximize performance and develop architectural solutions.

Responsibilities

• Extend, improve, and implement processes to automatically create Kubernetes clusters on AWS.
• Shape the topology and structure of Kubernetes clusters and deployed services.
• Build and maintain highly available systems on Kubernetes and implement auto-scaling systems.
• Provide code, templates, scripts, and configuration files for infrastructure.
• Implement and evolve monitoring and alerting for Kubernetes.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to Kubernetes build, deployment, and production processes.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Kubernetes deployments in the cloud (preferably AWS) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Proficiency with Git, Harbor, ArgoCD, Docker, Jenkins, Prometheus, Nexus, and Grafana.
• Experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, Route53, and Load Balancing.
• Experience working in Agile and SCRUM environments.
• Strong systems administration experience on Linux and Windows.

Nice to Have

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and/or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
• Any AWS certification.
