Job Description
Role Overview
Fiserv is looking for a Professional, Quality Assurance Engineering (Payment SDET Engineer) based in Pune. As a global leader in Fintech and payments, we need an innovator to join our team to ensure the reliability and security of our payment products, specifically focusing on automating test scenarios for Android apps.
Responsibilities
- Execute integration, system, feature interaction, stress, and performance testing for Clover products.
- Analyze product requirements to enable software test case creation through requirement gathering and analysis.
- Create and evaluate test cases for accuracy and applicability.
- Communicate testing progress by maintaining test plans and providing real-time updates on bug status and quality.
- Monitor failures and triage automated tests running in the Continuous Integration system.
- Perform black box and gray box testing techniques, including database querying and source code analysis.
- Work alongside development teams to automate tests within sprints.
- Develop automated tests using UI Automator (Java) for Android applications.
- Design and implement tools to improve manual testing efficiency.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience as an SDET, with at least 2+ years in writing reliable automated tests.
- BS in an engineering discipline (Computer Science preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in black box, functional, and user flow testing techniques.
- Strong experience with the Android platform and mobile test automation ecosystem.
- Ability to write and understand Java code for Android.
- Experience with software development tools such as IDE, debugger, git, and JIRA.
- Basic shell scripting skills (grep, cut, sed, etc.).
- Familiarity with JSON, SQL, and Android tools (ADB, DDMS, Monkey).
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Mocha with JavaScript, JUnit for RESTful APIs, shell, and Python.
- Experience with Continuous Integration tools like GitHub and Jenkins.
- Payment industry experience including EMVCo, PCI, and EMV Contactless specifications.
- Previous experience working with payment terminals.
