Role Overview

Sophos Group is hiring candidates for the role of Intern (Software Testing). As part of a product quality engineering team, you will perform software testing and test automation activities throughout the full development life cycle, focusing on products or systems to create the next generation of network security products.

Responsibilities

• Design test strategy, plans, and scenarios for product features.
• Develop test automation using Java or Python for product test scenarios.
• Debug and eliminate flaky automated test cases or fix failed cases within an agile process.
• Learn and effectively use tools used in product engineering.
• Work with leads to develop automated testing checkpoints in CI/CD and resolve build/milestone issues.

Requirements

• A degree in Computers, Electronics, Information & Tech, or Data-communications.
• 0 to 1 year of experience in software development (final year engineering students are eligible).
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, software engineering, networking, and cryptography.
• Ability to design tests and write test code independently.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and reasoning skills.
• A team player with a positive attitude and high energy.
