Software Tester + Technical Support (Intern)

Role Overview

We're looking for a detail-oriented Software Tester Intern to join our technology team. You'll work closely with developers to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our web applications, APIs, and integrations before they reach production. This is a hands-on role where you'll learn both manual and automated testing practices in a real, fast-moving product environment.

Responsibilities

• Write, execute, and maintain test cases for web applications, APIs, and backend workflows
• Perform manual functional, regression, and exploratory testing across new features and bug fixes
• Test REST APIs using tools like Postman for correctness, edge cases, and error handling
• Identify, document, and track bugs clearly (steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual behavior, severity)
• Verify fixes and perform regression testing before releases
• Test across different browsers, devices, and screen sizes for UI consistency
• Collaborate with developers to understand feature requirements and edge cases early
• Assist in building basic test automation scripts (exposure to tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright is a plus)
• Validate data integrity across integrations (e.g., forms, CRM syncs, third-party APIs)
• Maintain test documentation and contribute to building a repeatable QA process

Requirements

• Recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• Basic understanding of software development and testing concepts (SDLC, STLC, bug lifecycle)
• Familiarity with at least one scripting/programming language (JavaScript, Python, or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and a curious, "break it before users do" mindset
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS is a plus for understanding what you're testing
• Comfortable using tools like browser dev tools, Postman, and spreadsheets for tracking
• Good written communication skills for clear bug reports
