Backend Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Backend Developer with 3–5 years of professional experience to design, develop, maintain, and optimize backend services for an enterprise SaaS application. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Pune within the Engineering department.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and Django.
• Build and maintain secure, reliable, and well-documented REST APIs using Django REST Framework.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas, queries, indexes, and relationships.
• Develop authentication, authorization, user management, and role-based access control features.
• Integrate third-party services and external APIs.
• Write clean, modular, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Identify and resolve application performance issues and database bottlenecks.
• Write unit tests and support functional, integration, regression, and API testing.
• Collaborate with Product, Frontend, QA, and DevOps teams.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional backend development experience using Python.
• Strong hands-on experience with Django and Django REST Framework.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, including database design and query optimization.
• Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Experience implementing authentication mechanisms, including JWT or token-based authentication.
• Experience with Git-based version control.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
