Software Engineer (2-4 yrs in Python/NLP/BERT/GenAI)

Role Overview

Join Gartner IT as a Software Engineer (AIML). You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and support of Python based applications, utilizing both classic and generative AI techniques to support Consulting & Insights Technology.

Responsibilities

• Establish methodologies for rolling out new data analysis capabilities using ML, NLP, and Gen AI.
• Transform unstructured raw data into formats suitable for modeling.
• Operationalize leading data technologies and best practices.
• Maintain project plans, clean code, and well-written documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements in a globally distributed Agile/Scrum environment.
• Support building internal applications to improve associate productivity.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in classic AI techniques and at least 2 years in generative AI techniques.
• Experience building applications for knowledge search, summarization, and evaluating GenAI performance.
• Knowledge of Machine Learning models including NLP, BERT, Transformers, and Deep Learning.
• Experience with agentic AI frameworks, RAG, embedding models, vector dbs, Langgraph, and MCP.
• Proficiency with Python libraries such as Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Numpy, and Scipy.
• Experience deploying applications to AWS or Azure, including AWS Bedrock, Azure AI, or Databricks.
• Familiarity with Jira and GitHub.

Nice to Have

• Experience in fine-tuning Language models.
• Experience with MLOps frameworks like Kubeflow, MLFlow, DataRobot, or Airflow.
• Experience building scalable data models and performing SQL queries (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
