Role Overview
As a Research Intern - AI, you will collaboratively execute technology programs in development and research of AI algorithms for improving medical workflows. You will interact with technologists and engineers to develop and deliver novel solutions for complex, multi-disciplinary problems for GE HealthCare.
Responsibilities
- Execute research and development of AI algorithms for medical workflows.
- Apply generative AI techniques including diffusion models, GANs, and LLMs to medical imaging use cases.
- Work on image synthesis, reconstruction, report generation, and clinical workflow automation.
- Utilize vision-language models (VLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and multimodal AI systems.
- Stay current on published state-of-the-art algorithms and competing technologies.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Data Sciences, or AI from a reputed institute.
- Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms including semi-supervised learning, transfer learning, and optimization.
- Experience building large-scale AI such as generative AI, large vision/language models, and multi-modal models.
- Implementation experience with Python or C++.
- Demonstrated capability to handle challenges with vague or abstract problem definitions.
- Experience working with large-scale AI training.
