Role Overview
As a Software Engineer in the Molecular Imaging team, you will be responsible for implementing solutions and designs contributing to next-generation platform solutions for GE HealthCare products. You will work in a global environment, collaborating with product owners, architects, and technical leaders to develop quality software as a member of a Scrum team.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product owners and architects within an Agile environment to develop quality software.
- Ensure code quality, test coverage, and adherence to GE quality manuals.
- Develop reusable software assets and perform integration and verification activities.
- Investigate and resolve product complaints reported by customers or field engineers.
- Document requirements, designs, and verifications in accordance with quality processes.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
- Ensure all software delivered is compliant with GE Healthcare regulations and quality management systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of software design and development experience for complex, global projects.
- Practical experience in developing Medical Image Acquisition applications.
- Strong expertise in C++.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD), OOP, and UML.
- Experience with version control management using GitLab.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a Linux environment.
- Knowledge of Java.
- Experience with Shell, Perl, or Python scripting.
- Software development experience in the Medical Device Industry.
- Prior knowledge of Agile tools such as Rally.
