Software Engineer I

Role Overview

You will build and enhance end-to-end digital solutions supporting the Palantir engineering portfolio at General Mills. This role involves working on modern business applications, partnering with global teams, and contributing to the design, development, testing, and delivery of scalable, reliable, and high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications while taking ownership of complex technical components.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable and maintainable software solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new software features and enhancements.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive resolution within agreed service levels.
• Ensure code quality through coding standards, peer reviews, unit testing, and automation.
• Contribute to technical design discussions, sprint planning, and agile delivery.
• Leverage AI tools like Copilot, Claude, or SonarQube to improve productivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Proven experience in software engineering and full stack application development.
• Strong system-level knowledge for building end-to-end applications using the .NET Full stack, REST APIs, ASP.NET Blazor, and ASP.NET MVC.
• Experience with modern JavaScript-based frameworks such as React, Angular, or Next.js.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and tools such as GitHub Actions.
• Experience with database technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server or NoSQL platforms.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud technologies such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Python, containers, or Tableau.
