Role Overview
Join Global Payments, a leader in payment technology, as an Associate Site Reliability Engineer. You will help support millions of transactions worldwide by ensuring the reliability, scalability, and automation of our payment solutions. This role involves bridging the gap between development and production support while advancing DevOps disciplines across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to automation efforts and advance the DevOps discipline across the enterprise.
- Evaluate manual support processes and provide recommendations on DevOps tooling and automation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve test cases and job failures within defined SLAs.
- Perform quality checks, update automation scripts, and design testing suites for TDD and BDD.
- Develop standard software tools, frameworks, and utilities for validation and end-to-end functional testing.
- Work with stakeholders to develop comprehensive test plans, conditions, and cases.
- Provide application and infrastructure support on Cloud platforms.
- Participate in shift work and on-call rotations during weekends.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent certifications.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in testing and SRE.
- Practical experience with ITIL processes and Test Automation.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, Perl, or Ruby.
- Strong knowledge of Selenium, MS Test, and API testing tools.
- Hands-on experience with a Cloud platform.
- Understanding of Microsoft and Red Hat Linux server technologies.
Nice to Have
- Understanding of SRE practices aligned with CI/CD.
- Experience with Windows Server monitoring and automation.
- Knowledge of Jenkins and Ansible.
- Experience with GCP monitoring and cost optimization.
- Familiarity with Terraform, Splunk, Jira, and Harness.
