Role Overview
This position is based in the GlobalFoundries India center in Bengaluru, supporting Digital Manufacturing by enabling digital solutions for 300mm and 200mm wafer fabs across Singapore, USA, and Dresden. The candidate will be responsible for creating, supporting, and maintaining internal services and Java applications used by various teams within the fab.
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, tests, debugs, and implements applications supporting critical manufacturing fab operations and engineering tasks using SpringBoot and Angular.
- Containerize applications using Docker, orchestrate through AWS ECS, and deploy on AWS EC2 instances for scalable cloud operations.
- Work closely with Fab stakeholders to translate needs into predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions.
- Collaborate with GFIT and Manufacturing Data Domain groups to build data pipelines for productionalized analytics solutions.
- Work with users, developers, and database administrators to implement new functionality or fix application issues.
- Support day-to-day operations and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with minimum 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
- Solid Java programming and relational database skills.
- Proficiency in Angular, Java/J2EE, REST, and Spring Boot.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Redshift.
- Experience using IntelliJ IDEA.
- Understanding of relational databases and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
